I found Pamela through the Internet. I really liked her fee structure, which made a lot of sense and was straight-forward. I had had trouble with excessive fees from a previous interior designer, so I was drawn to Pamela's way of doing business. The fees were one reason I chose Pamela; I also really liked the work I saw of hers on her site. I wanted a more modern look for my own place, but I could see she'd be able to handle that without any trouble - it was her overall design sensibility that I really responded to, and I was confident she could pull off a quality look in any decor. Which she has done, superbly. (I would send you photos but a couple of key pieces aren't yet here ... !)

Pamela has been absolutely fantastic, I have to say. I was dubious, too, about whether "virtual" would work - but I had to give it a try because I was traveling quite a bit and needed to make decisions on the road. In fact, it worked really, really well to work virtually because it saved SO much time. By sending her photos of my place, along with samples of rooms I liked, she got a clear sense of what I was going for and we just dove in together.

Working with Pamela actually saved me quite a bit of money! I told her upfront that I wanted drama, with deep, rich colors and fabrics. Well, if I'd been on my own with this project, I'd have gone overboard. For example, I had my heart set on a particular sofa for my place, for example, but Pamela could see that it was simply too large for my room. I would have ordered it with a custom fabric, waited 2 months for it to arrive, only to be disappointed - and stuck with a very expensive white elephant. I also tend to over-furnish and Pamela really helped me to pare the number of pieces I needed down so that my place wouldn't be cluttered. I also learned a few things - such as, it's worth investing in a high-quality bed. I'm sleeping better than I ever have, thanks to this advice. Other pieces, she said, we can cut corners on. I have two wall sconces, for example, from Target that she chose that are just absolutely perfect!

I have never even talked with Pamela on the phone, and we never met in person! Yet she's been super-responsive to my every question, need, suggestion, input, etc. She has sent me samples of fabrics and wall colors - and I had a ball putting things together with her capable guidance and trained eye. I couldn't be happier with the way my place is coming together! I even took a big leap and went with red living room walls ... I never could have done this without having a designer who knew how to work with this level of drama. It looks fabulous .... !

Pamela works with people who are first-rate as well. Her painter was fabulous and a really nice guy. The woman who makes her drapes and custom duvets, pillows, etc, is a real pro as well.

I've been really, really pleased. I recommend Pamela to you with no reservations. It's really exciting to re-do a master bath and bedroom. You'll be very pleased with your result in working with Pamela, if you do end up contracting with her. Your rooms won't look "design-y." In my case, with Pamela, my rooms look like "me" -- only way, way better!
